Hi Life In Balance,
I just wanted you to know that when I received my copy of Sound Healer from CD Baby, I was in real need of it. Three days before receiving it, I hit some nasty work related emotional stress and caught a whopper of a chest cold. This resulted in severe coughing and muscle strain in my mid back. I was in bed 3 days for the bug and the back pain when the CD arived. That night, I put it in my CD player on auto repeat all night. The next morning I woke up after my first decent night's sleep in days, feeling lots better physically and emotionally. Now a week later, my back is pain free and I am working the new contract peacefully! I just ordered another copy of the CD for my sister-in-law who is in similar need for cellular balanced healing as I was. Thanks again for this one! I have enjoyed Star also and the live performance is a delight - Thanks for the three pack offer!

One of the last things I did in the DC area was attend your concert in Great Falls, Virginia. I'm still blown away by the event - what a trance you were able to evoke. I'm enjoying Star, Deeper and the Live CD I bought from you then but NOTHING topped the live performance. Thank you so very much for that.

Dora and I have bought 3 of our own crystal bowls since then, and used them on a cetacean research trip in Bimini where we swam with wild spotted and bottlenose dolphin friends. We're making our way to Tonga this fall to swim with the humpback whales and the bowls will be joining us.

I had the pleasure of experiencing your Sound Healing Meditation this weekend. This was my first experience with the quartz crystal bowls and they were truly awesome. The most touching part of the experience for me was during the session, I visualized myself sitting high on a mountain experiencing a beautiful sunset with hues of yellows, oranges, and purples and could feel the energy of the sunset mingle with my own energy. I purchased your "deeper" CD at Unity of Indianapolis, following a wonderful performance during the Sunday service.
My original thought was to use the CD for Reiki sessions, (which I still intend to do) but listening to the CD has become an evening ritual for my 6-year-old son. "deeper"
is very soothing for him & calms him down when things are
hectic. I have also used the CD during meditation and before
falling asleep and I love the soothing sounds and colorful
images/impressions I receive during this time. I am eager to purchase more of your CD's when the time is right for me. Thanks!

thanks so much for the work you do. I had been suffering from sciatica for two months. I tried chiropractic and herbal therapy with little relief. My friend Lee invited me to hear you at his spa. Soon after you began playing the pain started to subside and for the first time in two months I was with out pain for about an hour. Afterwords I bought your cd and started listening each night as I fall asleep. Each day the pain has gotten less and less. Now I can bend over with out pain and today I sat in the lotus position for meditation(something I really missed these last months) There is still some stiffness but I look forward to that leaving as I become more active. One tip - I found the effect to be heightened by using headphones instead of the speakers.

I am an painter and when I am in my studio one of my favorite CD's to put in is 'Deeper' by Life in Balance. I find the opening sequences very grounding and the CD takes me on a journey where I open to many creative energies I would not have found without their music. It takes me to a physical place where the outside world becomes mute and the inner world takes center stage; this is the ideal environment for any person with the desire and will to create, in my opinion.
It is also very interesting because I see on their website that their music intends to 're-pattern cellular and thought systems whilde expanding intuitive abilities.' And that is EXACTLY what it does!! My work deals with the formation of cellular structure, so I find it amazingly synchronous that I should connect so well with it in my studio.

It has been a little while since the last time I enjoyed the penetrating energy of a Life In Balance session. All is as it should be for I am in the process of integrating the healing forces of the last session I was able to attend. I am in the process of coming home to myself. This is the ultimate reason that Ami and Steve are here, playing the music of the cosmos, a true harmonic resonance with all that is.I would have never been embarking on this beautiful journey home to myself and entering the reality of my true place in the universe at this moment were it not for the times I have spent on the floor..in the grass..or in my living room allowing the beautiful sound of truth to resonate with my being. My experience with really understanding the power of sound, was directly related with my experience with Life In Balance.... It trully changed me.. I was amazed by the new awareness of the power of sound. Not just with the crystal bowls.. but sound in general.. I soon found myself with a crstal bowl in my environment.. and by using it in my daily practise of living.. I soon heard sound everywhere... Sound is everywhere.. i began to tune in to subtler sounds everywhere.. in society and in Nature... I started to pay attention to sounds that have always irratated me... and realized , that that sound is very much interacting with me.. and wow... sound is.... sound is either supporting my evolvement or de -evolvement(if thats a word). Just as music effects your emotions... so does sound...Just a tone can change a vibration in the room... Well it changed me and i am very happy to have come across Steve and Amy, who help me hear something new in music. All they did was play with sound and i instantly shifted. And i thank them... So okay--here goes. I spent New Year's in a hostel in Georgia. Came back home the next day to a different kind of hostile. The contrast between the two environments glared at me like the blind-me-now sun does when I'm walking on white. So my mom says, "Erin, do you want to go to a crystal singing bowl workshop?" I say yeah, not knowing the implications. We get there, barely on time, barely enough money, but it works out perfectly, of course. The session starts. I grow uncomfortable and itchy and kinda nauseated. This endures the whole time and I know Ami and Steve are workin' their magic. I know it's doing something. The session ends, and I have wonderful conversations with both Ami and Steve. They rock. Then I go home. Dun-dun-DUNNN! And the proverbial [expletive] hits the fan with me and my mom. My vision comes startlingly, explosively, outrageously clear. I understand now why this tension exists between us, the ROOT of it. It's DEEP, folks. And my third chakra explodes in its "Eureka!" moment and I feel free. Free for the first time in all my twenty-two years to be myself. So I packed my things and moved out the next day armed with 18 cents and ample faith. Sure enough my friend calls that night and asks if I can possibly housesit for a while. Yes, I say. I think I can do that. I continue to grow with lightning speed since the healing session. My heart is a chute of the blooming fountain and my body is the showered ground. Thank you infinitely, Ami and Steve. Perhaps we shall speak again.

and being one of your 'show's, where you didn't narrate what 'might' happen (along with not KNOWING what might happen), made it even more incredible, it was great.
Getting over a cold (very s l o w l y) I can't believe that I didn't cough, sneeze, have to clear my throat, or BLOW MY NOSE!!!! during the whole 1.5 (?) hours which didn't seem like that long at ALL! It was really great, and also being one who (in high school? yep.) wanted to be a music therapist, but never went any further than a "want", (this was LONG before I ever heard anything of the sort..)(and now, bums me out a little, that I never went anywhere with that, but...), I can appreciate it even more, and really feel that you two are true musicians 'blessed' with EXTREME talent, you do your job very VERY well, and I'm sure it's rewarding in all aspects. I attended a session for the first time at Ursuline college this week-end. Their music was recommended by a friend and I was very glad I listened. Everyone was relaxing on the floor so I decided to follow and just relax and be open to what I was experiencing. The first thing I saw in my minds eye was a mandala over me and over everyone. Then the mandala changed into a whirling vortex of energy. I allowed my visions to continue and just watch as the music changed. Then I not only saw but felt the music on a spiritual level- I felt myself expand in consciousness throughout the universe. And I can't explain this exactly but I felt as though I was more than just what I am now in this physical body. I felt like my consciousness was expanding like a nebula in the universe embracing all. Steve then said something about DNA and then I was surprized because just before that I had seen strains of DNA like structures. Then I saw myself as a man and then as a woman- it felt as though both sides became integrated. Later Steve mentioned this and again I was surprized. I guess I am constantly amazed when I am blessed with visions and amazing experiences like this. Steve told us to tell others about our experiences with their beautiful music so I am sharing what happened to me.

My journey with Life In Balance.
From a sound Session at Winds of Change. Cleveland. 8/26/02
transported beyond physical body, beyond any limitation of space or time ... to a limitless infinite ethereal realm where everything in creation is truly un-separated, and the physical body which has been left far behind is a beautiful, dense yet amazingly rich mechanism for human life. dense dense compared to this reality realm the body is so cumbersome and dense.
this place and way of being gives no relationship to size, the "I" which i experience "myself" as is more like a model of something i need to be before i can slip back into my true core essence alignment with pure spiritual illuminated substance. there is only a thin veil of separation and it is all based on my own self-limiting beliefs ... anyways i experience myself as multi-hued flowing, spiraling, weaving into the purest of light radiance.... all the while the shape of my cosmic "body" or energetic core is changing to accomodate travel ... through a void that is anything but empty, rather it is a vastness beyond comprehension teeming with energetic substance and life. i call on the Christ and meet that energy, Mary queen of the heavens, some of my personal spiritual guides, experiencing these beings as pure energetic life forms (rather than as a product of my human thought form) .....
the colors, shape, and movement of this energetic core of unencumbered self is constantly evolving, never static, ... .... i am also given a piece of information and an attunement to some work being done with crystal planetary healing.

That's the best I can do to describe my personal experience through the medium of language.

Thanks again for another powerful mystical experience! Your energy continues to have a profound effect on me. At the session at Mandala on July 26 I traveled back in time to what I believe to have been twelfth century Japan, not coincidentally the period of ascendance of your art in that country. I was a katana (samurai's sword). This seemed strange to me, to be an inanimate object, until I realized (some time after the session) that the artisans who created these blades must have imparted some of their own spirit into their work. In any event, I experienced the forging process, being hammered and thrust into fire and then into a vessel of cold spring water. I saw drops of this water being flicked from my surface into the bright sunshine, and I clearly saw the wrists and hands of the person holding me, and one of the sleeves of the garment he wore. This experience of recollection is still very vivid for me, and I look forward to my next journey with great anticipatory pleasure. Philip

Under the energy of the vibrations from your instruments, I was thrown into some amazing planes of existence. Last night I experienced Life in Balance at Unity Center in Fletcher, NC. I'd visited this website prior to the event and found that it really helped me to understand my healing experience. I loved the tones and vibrations; my body, mind and soul still feels cleansed, healed, nurtured and energized.
Have been playing the "Deeper" cd while at work this morning and feel honored to bring healing to my workplace. My co-workers don't realize it, they just think I'm playing my "new age-y music", but they're being cleansed, healed, nurtured and energized, too!

After Thanksgiving, a dear family friend's husband committed suicide, leaving Kathy with 5 children (ages 16-26). At the funeral, Kathy's daughters were talking about giving their mom a massage, to help her through this time. In overhearing, I offered to come to their house, the Saturday evening after the funeral.
Along with the usual massage tools and supplies, I specifically took your "Deeper" CD, as the music. I brought along other music, but Kathy picked Deeper for her massage. She had never had a massage before and was totally relaxed at the end of it. I played your Deeper CD throughout all the other massages to Kathy's 3 daughters and her sister. They didn't want me to turn it off even while we ate and talked.
That music cleansed their home, which had been ridden with an secret, angry alcoholic Father who was prone to threats, verbal abuse and violence to himself. The "public" of this small-town family only saw the funny, congenial side of him and it was their secret that they were not the "perfect" family.
Yesterday, I got a note from Kathy, thanking me for coming to their house and giving them massages. She affirmed that "it was a most peaceful, relaxing experience, in a time of great turmoil". I'm certain that playing the music of Life in Balance cleared the air, their hearts, and homes of some of that angry, abusive energy and allowed them healing.

I'm listening to Deeper as I type. I realize that simple relaxation was not the only goal you had for this music. But I've been in love with this style for some time, and I drive to it, and work to it. The music makes time insignificant during those boring tasks.
As I said when we met, the sitar is my instrument to relax and expand by. I hope we can get together sometime and experiment with the addition of sitar to your genre. Life in Balance is great!!! About six months ago I had Steve and Ami at my spiritual center. The event stated some very deep personal growth that was well needed.

I had been upset with the way my career and personal life was going at the time. My office was being shut down, due to lack of funds/support and all my close friends were leaving or had already left for college. I was at my wits end. Steve and Ami came to the center to play their intense soulfilled music.

That event started me on my own personal growth. I needed healing (still do in many respects) and that session was the catalyst for the changes I HAD to face. The music alligned my body, mind and spirit; placing it in a sacred space that allowed for my higher truth to come to the surface.

Every time I listen to their music I get a very powerful response from my innermost being. It accelerates my growth and allowes me to glimpse the utmost of my spiritual being.

Thank you Steve and Ami; Life in Balance. I look forward to you two continuing the work you started many life times ago. Spirit has never sounded so good!
