In this sound-healing workshop, musicians Ami & Steve Sciulli, of Life
In Balance create a unique musical experience that combines chakra-
tuned quartz crystal bowls, enhanced shakuhachi, synthesizers and
World flutes. During the session you will be bathed in a remarkable
arrangement of light, energy and sound, as you stretch out on your
yoga mat, cover up, and allow the beautiful and healing vibrations to

Hello Fellow Sound Travelers and Techno-shamanist,
Winter is traditionally a time for introspection and to feed the soul's desire for wellbeing and harmonic transformation. This is the time for developing an infinite number of new ideas as information accelerates into us and all illusions and boundaries dissolve.
This year it appears our collective soul is in deep exploration as so many world events are playing out and attracting our attention. It seems that much of our constructs and concepts are in flux and in search for redefinition. In our search for stability, a life out of balance is no longer acceptable for our personal and collective soul. Where to look for solid ground where no geographical or temporal boundaries exist? As always, the answer lies within and when it is discovered affects both the individual and the collective simultaneously. As one uncovers the newly lighted path all are illumined.
Our Yuletide wish is for your eyes to see the clearly illumined path and that this illumination is reflected in all that surrounds you. From a single seed the entire universe has been birthed. Join the birthday party!

The Second Annual Life In Balance & Your Inner Vagabond "OM FOR THE HOLIDAYS" a Winter Solstice Celebration is on for Sunday, December 21st.
Join us for our annual Solstice Ritual as we all shine on, shining our light brightly into the longest night. The evening starts with a flowing ambient Life In Balance set followed by an audience participatory Solstice Space Ritual lead by Rev. Gail Ransom, "Spiral Resonations Solstice Ritual", using spiral movement dance and Solstice chants.
Next, SloPoke Jan Hamilton-Sota, Paul Ferraro and Steve Sciulli performs original and ancient Winter Solstice music on violin, acoustic guitar, keyboards and world flutes.
Followed by Life In Balance performing music of the spheres using quartz crystal singing bowls and electronic synthesizers giving a musical voice to the Dark and Light by developing a personal inner- rhythmic pulse that opens into an ecstatic dancing celebration. Joining LIB will be Jan Hamilton-Sota on violin.
Bring an open heart along with your open mind and let us share an experience that will continue to shine throughout the long Winter nights ahead.

These first words may sound like standard New Age vocabulary. Yet they clearly convey an offer of serenity and of peace. And such states of mind and being have much to do with wishes and hopes for everyone, especially at this time of year. In their liner notes the above-named duo, Oakmont's Ami and Steve Sciulli, suggest how what they perform can create an ambience of reflection and creative thought. Don't consider this as like ambient-sound recordings of gurgling streams or ocean waves gently washing shores because, over one hour in 12 tracks, you experience genuine music. Your decision to listen rather than overhear can become rewarding, especially given Steve's expressive flute playing, especially of the tranquil shakuhachi. And, when Ami strokes the tuned bowls, you may find yourself sensing incense amid Balinese gamelans. Steve founded the early progressive band Carsickness and the Irish rockers Ploughman's Lunch. But, since 1998, Life in Balance has been traveling all over this continent to immerse audiences in their world embrace, sometimes linking up with Deepak Chopra, Rusted Root, Dharma Bums and The Drepung Gomang Tibetan Monks. Our latest CD: Crystal Bowl Meditation is available worldwide. Go to The Relaxation Company for more info or to order your copy. Life In Balance CD, OM to OHM is available on Koch Records and can be ordered on-line or at your favorite store. We have a self released CD called "Soundhealer". This is the closest that we have come to capturing a live sound healing meditation on disc. "Soundhealer" includes the spoken DNA activation meditation that is used during our live sessions. "Soundhealer" is currently available only in a limited run and won't be sold in retail stores. To order it and to sample bits of the music go to: CD Baby and is also available through iTunes.
Our "Star" CD is global in its reach. This is music for active listening, for dancing and driving. "Star" is the "out-breath" with "Soundhealer" and "Live" as the "in-breath". To order "Star" through CD Baby click HERE.
