Recently back from the Universal Light Workers Conference feeling revitalized and focused. ULC, the real deal! Next Conference begins June 12, 2009.
We are very excited about our newest CD "Crystal Bowl Meditation" out on The Relaxation Company New York. In celebration of this release we are planning a Dream Concert - Pittsburgh's 1st Festival of Sleep on Saturday August16th at the very cozy venue "Your Inner Vagabond" in Pittsburgh. PA
But more on this later.
Inbreath. The Life In Balance sonic activity will be in Ohio the weekend of July 25 to July 27 starting with a Sound Healing Meditation on the 25th at the Citadel of Inner Peace in Cleveland. We connected with the center's facilitators James and Cathy Smith while at the Lightworkers Conference several years ago. It's been a while since we explored sound healing in the Cleveland area so when the opportunity for an Open House at their new center arose we took this as a chance to meet old friends and foster new relationships, all done with sound. As a bonus, participants can utilize a new technology called the Body Imaging Device to photograph the body's energy patterns before and after the sound healing meditation to get a visual of how energy is flowing. To get an accurate body reading bring a tight white t-shirt or leotard to wear during the Body Imaging. If you want to participate at no additional charge, please arrive about 30 to 40 minutes before the Sound Meditation for the "before" photographs.

Outbreath. Life In Balance is honored to perform at this year's Ingenuity Festival, Cleveland's Festival of Art Technology and Innovation.
"This wonderful event is designed for audiences of any age and experience, staged in the center of Downtown Cleveland. Prominent international masters present original works alongside the finest of Northeast Ohio's performing and visual artists. High technology firms and major colleges and universities are presented alongside acclaimed artists to create a dazzling display of exciting and immersive new work! Ingenuity pushes boundaries, creating a unique festival experience that draws and celebrates diversity, and involves the audience as both spectator and participant!"
The festivities start on Friday from 4pm till 1am. Saturday noon till 1am and Sunday from noon till 6pm. Life In Balance will be performing on Saturday throughout the day from noon till midnight at the Halle Building on East 12th and Euclid. Sunday we will be at NPi Hanna Stage from 3 till 4:15pm. Come on out and experience this merging of art and science, spirit and techno. Activate dormant brain cells!

The Concert
It's been about a year since we last performed in Pittsburgh so to mark our return to this region we are facilitating The Dream Concert The Festival of Sleep. We have been talking about doing this for at least 8 years. During our sound healing sessions most people comment on how deeply relaxed they feel and how they just don't want to move, so here is a rare opportunity to experience a sustained state of well-being and expanded awareness and intuition without having to leave this inner peace. Pretty cool. The Festival of Sleep is an actual musical performance where morphing into a deep Theta state is highly encouraged. Also on the bill will be the debut of Pittsburgh's first Ambient Appalachian band Slow Poke. Bring your favorite blanket and pillow and welcome to these United Dream States of America.

This is what our dear friend Gordon Danis has to say about "Crystal Bowl Meditation": On "Crystal Bowl Meditation," Life In Balance returns to its roots: glimmering, sparkling crystal bowls and other percussion dance around Steve Sciulli's (often multitracked) flutes and synthesizers creating some of the purest and most beautiful ambient music extant. On "CBM," though, Steve adds just enough piano and electronics to recall the "ambient-chamber" sound of artists like Tim Story and Eno, and adds a new timbre to the sound palette of Life In Balance.
This is the kind of music for which the "repeat" mode of your CD player was created. Some may listen to the music in conjunction with meditation or yoga, while others will play "CBM" and let the music find its own space. Life In Balance CD, OM to OHM is available on Koch Records and can be ordered on-line or at your favorite store.
We have a self released CD called "Soundhealer". This is the closest that we have come to capturing a live sound healing meditation on disc. "Soundhealer" includes the spoken DNA activation meditation that is used during our live sessions. "Soundhealer" is currently available only in a limited run and won't be sold in retail stores. Our "Star" CD is global in its reach. This is music for active listening, for dancing and driving. "Star" is the "out-breath" with "Soundhealer" and "Live" as the "in-breath". To order "Star" through CD Baby click HERE.
Our other self released CD is "LIVE". This music is similar to our live sound healing meditations but without the spoken section. "Live" is available directly through us via our website or in person. "Star" and "Sounderhealer" are $15 each and "LIVE" is $10, plus s/h.
