LIFE IN BALANCE "OM TO OHM" CD RELEASE CONCERT
Hello Sound Beings:
We are very excited to announce the Life In Balance "OM to OHM" CD Release Celebration and Concert on Thursday, 7 PM, August 16th 2007 at the beautiful Kelly-Strayhorn Theater in the historic East Liberty section of Pittsburgh, PA
Life In Balance will present their biggest production in the Pittsburgh region with guest musicians Steve Kornicki, Maurice Rickard and Rob Grano. The concert will also feature an original light and art projection by acclaimed artist Juliana Morris.
Your Inner Vagabond will also bring their "harem" for our fans lounging pleasures and will provide delicious refreshments. This is the one to come to - so be there!!!

"Om to Ohm" Release, Kelly-Strayhorn Theater, This is the "World Release" Concert for the Koch Entertainment CD "Om to OHM". Life In Balance has been building up to this for nine years. We will perform two complete sets of music -both atmospheric and dreamy as well as our global dance music. This will be the first time that we will present a major concert of this size in Pittsburgh and are very excited.
The Kelly-Strayhorn Theater is a very comfortable and beautiful performance space built over 70 years ago that has been totally modernized.

Life In Balance goes full circle at Schoolhouse Yoga located near the old Mandala Bookstore on Murray Avenue in Squirrel Hill where LIB formed nine years ago!! This is the first "Sound Healing Meditation" in many years here. We begin the sonic Yoga/Life In Balance collaboration with a Sound Healing Meditation on Saturday evening followed by a Sunday afternoon Yoga class with live Life In Balance music. We hope that this festival becomes an annual event. Life In Balance is working with a local non-profit bringing together water ecology, art, performance and music for the benefit of the Tireless Project. Our interest is to create an event for folks to come together to enjoy the water and lean a few things while being cleverly entertained. Three Rivers Rowing Association has agreed to host it on Washington's Landing, we have the artists and musicians lined up, and the organization is in place. All we need is the go ahead from our funding source. See it happening! Free event, donations benefit Tireless.
Sept. 14-16: Ellsworth Festival, Pittsburgh, PA
The Fun Festival of the two. I don't know if you know this but the Shadyside Festival is run by a professional Florida events company and not by the locals. Ellsworth is still home spun and that is what keeps it fun. Life In Balance will be performing, line-up not available at this time. Always free.

In the spirit of collaboration, we are working with several yoga instructors in the Pittsburgh area to create "Yoga with live Life In Balance Music" events. The first one is this month at Schoolhouse Yoga.
Life In Balance will be on tour in Michigan early October and is working on a January/February Florida tour. Interested parties please e-mail us for scheduling and bookings.

So far this summer Life In Balance has absorbed and radiated human/spiritual experiences gathered from our trips from Alaska to Florida; have released our first critical mass CD, "OM to OHM", on the major label Koch records; and added mind expansive sacred geometry projection by visual artist Juliana Morris as part of our concert set-up.
Some say this is the new summer of love - of collaboration and connection, of coming full circle; forty years after the 1967 Summer of Love cultural phenomena and twenty years after the 1987 Harmonic Convergence spiritual phenomena. Life In Balance is feeling it. We are world-wide thanks to the internet and we always welcome our travels and tours, but for the moment we feel it is time for us to concentrate our work in the Pittsburgh area as we did nine years ago when LIB began. We are feeling the collectives becoming more powerful and effective. The time has come for all of us to bring our gifts and talents to the table in preparation to feast together as we exhale the "past" and breathe in the new reflection of light.

Other news: You can hear one of our new songs on the compilation CD: The Crystal Singing Bowls Collection of Crystal Tones, this features many of the leading artists in the field of sound healing, including Steven Halpern, Jonathan Goldman, Dr. Mitchell Gaynor and Life In Balance. We have released an official "bootleg" CD called "Soundhealer". This is the closest that we have come to capturing a live sound healing meditation on disc. "Soundhealer" includes the spoken meditation that is used during our live sessions. After nine years we found that it is time for this release. "Soundhealer" is currently available only in a limited run and won't be sold in retail stores. To order it and to sample bits of the music go to: CD Baby. Soundhealer is also available through iTunes.
How to get our "self-released" CDs:
Currently we have 3 independent CD's available. The CD "Star" is global in its reach. This is music for active listening, for dancing and driving. Star is the "out-breath". Our second CD is "LIVE". This music is similar to our live sound healing meditations but without the spoken section. Our newest addition is "Soundhealer" which is very close to a live sound healing session and includes the spoken meditation. Live and Soundhealer are the "In-breaths". Star and Sounderhealer are $15 each and LIVE is $10, plus s/h.

Star and Soundhealer are also available as digital downloads on almost all of the Internet music sites including Apples iTunes. Go to iTunes and type in "Life In Balance", .99 cents a song.
